This ceramic bird statue is marked Italy. I'm told it is from around 1950. I've seem other vintage Italian pottery pieces, and this one just seems to be a much better quality and very detailed. Does this make a difference in value? Is it possible to determine who might have made it? Thanks!

Pretty bird, any chance we could get a look at his/her head?
they are attached now.
Ah, that is much better. Its even better looking than before with the head. How tall is this?
it is about a foot tall.
Check out this link. The PV mark may be Peasant Village.

Sorry, that link may not work - I'm checking something else out. I found another bird statue with the same mark on the bottom but different number.
I cant get you a direct link but google "italian pottery peasant valley" and go to images - it is in the top row of the page.
