The TOSSA ashtrays can be described as a cube version of the COPENHAGHE one: simple, stackable, made in melamine... as some point they could also be the result of a mix between that and the famous Bruno Munari ashtray for Danese (I will also share its picture).
They are also a rare find... I just saw a picture of them mailed to me by Ricard himself. And by the way, they were also made in moss/olive green.
To me it's funny how the two last ashtrays he designed for Flamagás are a step back to his first and most succesful design: both of them endlessly stackable, both of them just melamine items... or maybe I just think too much about these silly things :)
By the way, they're called after Tossa de Mar, a holiday resort in the Costa Brava, in Catalonia. As I told you Ricard named three of is ashtrays after three Spanish towns: Barcelona (where he was born), Mallorca and Tossa - my guess is he did so for sentimental reassons...

Thanks Scandi! how do you like my other collection? LOL Un abrazo fuerte!
yep, and very very little money... LOL!!!
Well, all the Ricard stuff is really beutiful. He's a great designer. Such a pity he's not better known in and outside Spain. I grew up surronded by his designs. So far the piece I'm after is... a 1liter juice bottle from 1975. Tough to find! (who's going to keep that kind of stuff?)
for the bottle? only in a book, I'll take that pic for you when I'm back home!
