found these out thrifting today , the same place ive the cocoktail set . very cheap for the set $7.00 , designed by SIGVARD BERNADOTTE for ROSTI DENMARK . these are vintage from what i was reading online tonight and still my day hasnt ended yet have things to catch up tonight :)

Sigvard Oscar Fredrik Bernadotte , Count of Wisborg ( 7 June 1907 - 4 February 2002 ) was born Prince of Sweden and designer. He was the son of King Gustav VI Adolf and his wife Margareta of Connaught . He lost his princely title when he in 1934 married the non-royal German Erica Patzek. He assumed the Swedish royal family's name Bernadotte as a surname . His father's grand cousin Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg appointed him in 1951 to the Count of Wisborg .
As a designer he stood among other behind Margrethe bowl , which is named after his niece, Princess Margaret , now Queen of Denmark. He received the Order of the Elephant in 1952 .

In 1934-1943 was Sigvard Bernadotte married Erika Maria Regina Rosalie Patzek (born 1911).
In 1943-1961 he was married to the Danish-born Sonja Christensen Robbert (1909 - 2004), daughter of Robert Alexander Christensen Robbert and Ebba Elisabeth Svenson. Sonja Bernadotte was Countess of Wisborg from 1951 to 1961. Their son Michael Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg, was born in Copenhagen in 1944.
In 1961-2002 he was married to actress Marianne Lindberg (born in Helsingborg in 1924).

From 1983 he called again for the prince. King Carl 16th Gustav of Sweden would not recognize it, and Sigvard Bernadotte complained to the European Court of Human Rights . Two years after Sigvard Bernadotte's death gave the court the king dismissed.

I love the Margrethe Bowls. They were designed for Georg Jensen in 1954 by Jacob Jensen for Sigvard Bernadotte and Acton Bjorn. I used to use them but I've replaced them with a Corning glass set. I'm still looking for a full set of the utensils.
hello vetraio50 , i didnt know they had corning glass in oz land , i always thought that was just us thing. and the information youve given is just wonderful:) and thankyou . mine does say Action Bjorn on the bottom . how to date these and how do you know which ones where designed for Georg Jensen?
