Just acquired this sign from an old warehouse in NC. I know nothing about Coca Cola signs, I just liked the colors and graphics. It is metal/tin. It has been painted on the back side with the old salvage company store name. It says sandwiches on the top. It is approximately 8.5 feet long by 4 feet wide. I think in the original frame. I would like to know any information, including, year, value, cleaning suggetsions and if I should take off the pieces off wood frame that block the front of the sign. I can post more pictures tomorrow. Many Thanks,

Definitely remove that wooden frame...completely. It's too beat up. Your sign dates to the 1940s. Yellow dot/sunburst sign.
Cleaning: after carefully removing the wood, start by washing it with warm soapy water and a soft sponge or towel. This simple cleaning should be all that's needed.
These huge signs aren't highly sought after by Coke collectors, just because of the fact that they take up too much prime real estate in ones Coke room. Too large to display. However, many collectors (like me) like to hang these larger signs in our Coca-Cola themed backyard patios. Restaurant owners will sometimes buy them as well.
Tough to place an accurate value on this, based on this one photo. Clean it up as I suggested. Then post some "after" photos and we'll be able to give you a better idea as far as value.
These rusty gold signs are still out there, just waiting to be discovered. Nice find.
Wow, thank you for the quick reponse and info! Can't wait to get her all cleaned up and will re-post picture to get an idea of value. I know this forum is not to sell items, so do you have an email where we may correspond?
Clean it up, repost pics and then I'll decide if I want to post my email on here. There's few nutcases on here that I would rather not have see my email address.
I could see that in the Lounge TGBWC!
