This is a 1950 magazine advertisement for Motorola model 16F1 cabinet Television / Radio / Phonograph. The model included a 16" television, 3-speed phonograph, and AM/FM radio. Motorola started in Chicago, Illinois as Galvin Manufacturing Corp. in 1928. The Motorola brand was meant to indicate "sound in motion." and was adopted in 1930 and used as a trademark since then. Motorola's main business was producing and selling televisions and radios. The company began making televisions in 1947.
