This is a 1950 magazine advertisement for the Colonial Tall Clock in the "French Provincial" fashion made by Colonial Manufacturing Co., Zeeland, Michigan. It is a 4 1/4" by 5 3/4" advertisement.
Colonial started around 1899 known then as "The Colonial Clock Works" In 1905/06 it became known as " Colonial Clock Co " and in 1914 it was know as Colonial of Zeeland". Colonial ceased it's operations in 1987. It's been reported that in the 1970's, Colonial produced about 30% of the nations tall clocks. Colonial used a variety of German movements and even some American made.
