No marks at all on the bottom?

I'd say modern too; and a "Loetz Medici-esque" copy so it's a good chance it was made in eastern Europe. Very nice!

    I think maybe Royal Brierly

Thank you vetraio5o, czechman, dasullywon, Greatsnowyowl! There is no mark on the bottom. I thought maybe modern, but did like it very much - Gosh there is so much to learn. Many thanks!

I think it's new and Italian.

there are no completed auctions I could find but there are some items with the same shape and surface treatment (minus the dots) on ebay. search for

I'd bet money that this was Royal Brierley. :)

Thank you LoetzBuddies,Greatsnowyowl,scandinavian-pieces! This site is just great, bowled over by the enthusiastic responses. So nice to think that there are a lot of folk all over the world that will respond!! Have just looked at the Royal Brierley you mentioned Greatsnowyowl and I would go with that, certainly the same shape and colour treatment. Thank you all so much - I love the research on all of my vintage things and the information I glean on the way. Afraid there are still a few more pieces for 'show and Tell' with a cry for help in identifying, but also a few that I have identified (hopefully correctly!)
