Colourless glass can be just as gorgeous as a diamond. The sea shell shape is what makes up for the difference of not having much flavor as most Loetz collectors prefer.
Decor: Chine'
Measurements: 7" long with a 3-1/2" diameter rim and the applied base is 2-1/4" x 2-7/8" diameters.
On the applied base there is a W. F. Inc NY paper stamp with three horses in the background. Was not able to find any information. Most likely W. F. Inc was a retail company based in New York.

That label is a tease Leah!
But I love the shell pieces!
Can you hear the sea?
:) Thanks, Vetraio50! I wish I could hear the sea. haha Love the beach, so my love for shells comes naturally. The label, I know... did not know what to make of it, and thought it would be an easy find. Maybe someone else has a clue to explain. A dear friend suggested the World's Fair. Thought it was interesting from anything I could find since the Pan-American Exposition was a WF held at Buffalo, NY in 1901 which this time frame reflects around the time of the Chine' production. However, I could not find any information. The W.F. INC. NY label is indeed an unsolved mystery.
Gorgeous! does it have a slight iridescense?
:) Thank you, Czechman! There is no iridescent. Totally clear. Kralik also produced colourless Meteor / Shell. The example I have is a vertical rib decor pattern with a green strutted base. No iridescent in the Kralik example as well.
For fun, take a peek at another look on how COLOURLESS art glass sea shells are used for a different purpose...
