This is a pretty vase from Denmark, any ideas on the age or the maker, it is very nice quality and heavy for it's size, I'm not sure if it is ceramic or porcelain, I have seen others like this marked Royal Copenhagen, what is the difference between royal and not? any ideas?

It's 'royal' because the factory was 'curated' by the queen (Juliane Marie) when it was founded in 1775. Your vase is made of porcelain - and production started in the 1920's (and continued for quite some time, I think; I don't know for how long). The craquelé glaze was developed by Thorkild Olsen who worked at Royal Copenhagen 1908-1960 (!). There is also a coral red and a green type. You see quite a lot of this on markets etc. (at least here in Denmark!); actually so much I have not really paid attention to it - but now when I see your vase I think it's actually very pretty!
