LeahGoodwin brought this to my attention that the direction of the swirl in this particular Shell Vase is going in the oposite direction of the others shown.. i have a new "addiction" to these Shell / Cornucopia Vases... they fascinate me so!.. the first piece shown in the 4th photo which is from a reprint of the Czech Glass catalog featuring Kralik Glassworks monograph 59 from the WVMOAG with a fore note by Alfredo Villanueva Collado, Ph.D. is unlike mine shown here, except that it also appears the swirl is as well going in the oposite direction than the taller Shells shown in photo #4 to the right of the first Shell Vase.. which i find very intersting.. thought's on this anyone?

I'm probably showing my ignorance again, but all the short, fat ones of this type that I recall seeing swirl this way, and all the tall ones I've seen swirl the other way. I wonder why? Variety?
i love this very much czechman:) stunning:)
thanks for the loves everyone!
Nicole, you are not showing ignorance so stop that nonsense... that's what we were trying to figure out.. Variety? or? funny that i never noticed before so who's ignorant? me! lol
I believe with the decor shown on Gary's example is a great "show and tell" of how the shape was in production for a number of years. I know as a whole, there has been team work of collectors here on CW sharing various decors and in my opinion I think Czechman's example would date to a later production from all of the other decors found here on CW.
LLL is spot on with the difference.
Variety is the spice of life!!! :)
thanks Leah for bringing this to my attn :)
