I bought this lamp/lantern at a garage sale at a Victorian house. The sellers said that it was original to the house. It had been wired as a hanging lamp but retains the original oil lamp inside. I'm not sure if it is hand made or manufactured. Is it old? What era? It confuses me that the ruffles are sort of "tin" and not heavier iron?
