The side of the barrel is marked: PAT.NO707417
Bottom of barrel is marked: JAPAN
The barrel is vented through the top
The overal length is 1-13/16 inches
This particular one has added black hard rubber grips making the grips width 0.45 inches instead of 0.14 inches.

I HAVE ONE EXACTLY LIKE THIS, ANY VALUE TO THEM?
CAD1949,
The grips on this one is not the standard flat metal grips with stamped animal designs on them that are seen on most of the Mighty Mite pistols. I think these were added by someone after production. If yours is exactly like this one it is the second one I have heard of.
Value wise, I do not know. I haven't purchased one in many years, but do follow some of the sales on eBay once in a while. The sale prices are all over the map on eBay.
I consider this one as uncommon only because of the grips. The standard ones are fairly common.
