Ok, here's where I earn my CW wings (I hope). Here we have an almost scientific comparison of two Ingrid Malachite Czech vases; in a way I have not yet seen on the internet (although I have looked, believe me!). The two vases here are from two different time periods, although for all I know they might have come from the same mold. The one on the left is vintage Curt Schlevogt Ingrid from about 1938, proven by the mark (Ingrid, Made In CZECHOSLOVOKIA (oval)) and the QUALITY! compared to a marked DESNA example from about 1980. Notice how the base has shrunk but the mouth has grown longer. The old-vintage one is lighter too (230g vs 344g) and thinner; light passes through the older one while the new one is opaque. The details have faded as the mold(s) got older from use, and here is the side-by-side you've been looking for so you can tell the old from the new. Enjoy!
