These are three different 1950 magazine advertisements for Nairn Inlaid Linoleum Floor covering made by Congoleum-Nairn, Inc., Kearny, NJ.
Established in 1887 as American Nairn, in the early 1920's the company joined forces Congoleum to form Congoleum-Nairn.
In the late 1950's, Congoleum-Nairn introduced 12-foot wide sheet flooring made out of vinyl. This flooring was a totally man-made product that offered consumers more in terms of durability, convenience of installation and styling than its predecessors.
In 1993, Congoleum Corp. formed a joint venture with Amtico Floors.
