Mascot Catalogs by Robert Ames
I was lucky to get a new copy from the author of some of my other mascot books, Robert Colwill. This is a great book by the author who also worked with Bill Williams and Dan Smith to put this book together, and the result is some fantastic mascot pages from very old catalogs circa 1928 and 1930. There are many beautiful mascots pictured. I really love that Egyptian one in the 2nd row middle. It does not appear in any of my other books so do not know if anyone has one of them. I just noticed a signature on the piece, which looks like M. Podie Brad !!~
The fourth picture was sent to me by Michel Legrand the author. Shows his piece of the Podiebrad in his museum in France.
