Maybe we should call these "enameos" or "camenamels". These painted and fired enamel pieces have the appearance of cameo glass (use your imagination) from a previous era, although cameo probably never went away. I think some were hand drawn while others utilized stencils (not unlike cameo technique) I assume more than one company made the blanks and many other companies did the refining.

wow! swoon! wow!
The challenge here is identifying the refinery . . .
The second vase is French.
The French firm of D'Argyl was active in Paris during the height of the Art Deco period. I believe that they were retailers and I have found the following listing for the company:
E. Val & Cie (Ancienne Maison Effler)
Paris, France (c. 1920s - 1940s) Refiners & retailers of glass & porcelain. Acid-cameo glass items signed "Val" or "D'Argyl" (from 1928) produced for them by companies such as Legras, Verreries de St. Denis et Pantin, Verrerie d'Art Lorrain and others.
yes, thank you about the french firm, but this glass blown blank is by bohemians (probably Kralik) the enameling is made to look like moser but who did it? probably the french because the ironwork looks like french iron lamp work. this piece could actually have been blown by one company, painted by another and had the metal frame by another. if you would like to see some other examples of the french metal work on bohemian glass or this same blank in other colors- please email me at Jerichohair@yahoo.com
