I put this on before, but it is from Aleutian Islands, Alaska, WW-2, I originally put Lete, Philippines, that is where my father was wounded later. The other part of story is my father ROTC U. of Nebr. then went to Pensacola and graduated class of 1940, Navy Pilot. US Government spent a lot of money training my father, he went back to Nebr. and no Navy there so he took commission back in Army, war started and Army got him first, he wrote and called Navy but Army refused to let him go? It worked out for him as he stayed in Reserves and retired a Colonel. toracat
