Super rare British poster restricting the movement of cattle. These almost never survived as they were printed on very thin paper and were expected to last only a short time on the local notice boards or pinned to trees. It was posted to the local police station, to be put on the notice board by the local police constable, and the restriction was enforced by the local police. This notice only survived because it was never put up, but kept in an office drawer, which I later found....many years later I might add! It gives an insight into every day country life in England.
