Found this today near my home. A little place south of town, you wouldn't believe me if I told you what I payed for this. I have seen many fancier ones over the years but I have never seen this gray metal model before. National made alot of different levels of styles over the years. From very ornate designs, with lots of nickel plating and or brass/gold plating, to very basic ones like this one. Most of these didn't survive in working condition. This one didn't have the key but works perfectly, also has the original wooden drawer and the original flags go up on top display and bell still rings with every transaction! I decided it would be nice to use this machine when wanting a penny or quarter to use in the other coin op stuff. 1941 was the year it was made. I was able to track this down based on the serial number and the data base online for National machines.
