My father got this guitar from a friend in 1992(South Africa). It orriginally had mother of pearl inlays in the neck and the headstock was covered in mother of pearl as well. It has a Hofner shaped headstock and the neck is bolted on. Only marking is punched into the neck-V113. I discovered that it was Built in the Voghtland, Germany during the second world war. According to Stefan Lobb, curator at Framus vintage muzeum, it was built by one of 3 Luthiers, subcontracting for Framus due to the demand for jazz guitars during the war. Very similar shape and f-holes+sound hole as the Framus, Prasident model. I had it restored in 2009 to get it playable. Very warm sound fitted with flat wounds. Would like to know its name and builders name if anyone has an idea?
