It is a plaque used to mark a bridge built with Bethlehem Steel. The bridges also usually had another plaque with the year the bridge was built, many times that one had the area road engineer's name and county commissioners listed on it.
is it worth anything you think...?
It would take the right buyer, but yes it has worth. People who collect bridge items would love it. As well, I'm sure there are folks who collect items related to Bethlehem Steel would be quite interested in it.
I've been searching for a Marietta Concrete Farm Silo weathervane for years, they are a cast iron "script" Marietta sign placed on farm silos. I asked a antique dealer how much they were worth, his answer was that if I found one, I should return in the dead of night and "procure" it. And they are in the middle of a farm silo roof, usually a minimum of 20' in the air.
I appreciate your time Pat
Thanks....
I wish I could find an appraiser on it and find out a good estimation on what its worth..... $50? $200? $400? $1,000's??? LOL
still no help =/
