These are two 1950 magazine advertisements for Kirsch Drapery Hardware and Sunaire brand venetian blinds made by the Kirsch Co., Sturgis, Michigan. - The Kirsch Company was found in 1907 by Charles W. Kirsch, the inventor of the first flat curtain. In 1939, Kirsch rods are used as the only rods in the movie classic, "Gone With The Wind" and in 1950 Kirsch Sunaire Venetian blinds are featured in the hit film, "Hit The Jackpot" starring Jimmy Stewart. The Kirsch Company is currently a division of Newell Rubbermaid, Inc., Sturgis, Michigan.
