PIC. 01: 9.5" HIGH. 6.5 WIDE TOP; 3.5" WIDE BOTTOM. RED/ORANGE GLASS CASED IN CLEAR, AND ENAMELED IN BLACK WITH GREEK MOTIFS AND A MAIDEN EXTENDING A GLASS, MAYBE AS A WINE OFFERING. WE KNOW NOW NOT ONLY THE HARRACH ALSO PRODUCED TANGO, BUT THAT IT
USED GREEK MOTIFS AS ENAMELING SINCE THE MIDDLE OF THE XIXth CENTURY.
PIC.02: ITS MARK, THE FIRST IN SCRIPT I HAVE EVER OWNED. CZECHO-SLOVAKIA IS PROBABLY THE OLDEST EXPORT MARK, BEFORE THE TWO COUNTRIES HAD BEEN MERGED INTO ONE PROPER.
PIC. 03: A MOST RARE TANGO OPEN SALT, 2,25" TALL AND 2.5" ACROSS, SUSTAINED BY AN APPLIED BLACK FOOT WITH THREE UPTURNED PETALS, FORMING A CUP, AND ANOTHER THREE AS THE FEET PROPER. THE DISPOSITION OF THE PETALS IS A KRALIK MANUFACTURING STANDARD. . UNMARKED.
PIC. 04. PICTURE OF ITS BOTTOM.
BONAFIDE CZECH OPEN SALTS ARE SCARCE AND EXPENSIVE FOR THEIR SIZE. THERE ARE TWO CURRENTLY ON E-BAY, BOTH PRICED HIGH. THIS ONE CAME IN CHEAP BECAUSE OF A RIM CHIP, PROBABLY CAUSED BY A SPOON. ANYWAY, iD RATHER HAVE IT THAN NOT.
