Bought this vase a few months ago, a large vase with millefiori within the glass. Any help appreciated! Sorry to keep asking, but it is the only way I can learn from the experts!! The bottom of this vase has a ground smooth pontil that is slightly opaque and the rim is quite rounded and reflective. I hope you can make some sense of the photograph.

Is there a ground base?
Yes! Look I was supposed to go to bed but have just topped up my glass of red wine!
What is this forum doing to me?!!!!! Many thanks vetraio50
My pleasure! If you're still up and on your feet! ;)
A photo of the bottom would give an indication of whether it is Murano or not.
The edges of the grind are an indicator in my experience.
There are others who are doing this work in a variety of countries.
Thanks vetraio50 will do that this evening when I come back from work.
mustangtony, dasullywon and inky - Thank you for the Love it!
vetraio50 I have posted a photograph of bottom of vase as requested, hope this might shed some light. Thank you very much for taking the time.
Hi Justanovice! Is the grind slightly concave? I'd say it's not Murano by the way it has been finished. Just my opinion. Let's see what the others think!
Hi vetraio50, the grind in quite concave! But thank you very much for taking the time to comment! I will spot something similar one day if there an no other suggestions.
Thank you BELLIN68 and MiKKoChristmas!
HI Justan
The ground pontil and inclusions of Murrine florettes are almost certainly and indication of this being Murano. It is a worrying fact that the Chinese are now trying to take advantage of the trademark ground pontil mark which is normally indicative of a quality piece. The only problem is, most of the time their ground pontil is always off to one side, a sign of a clumsily made piece with the attention to detail that a Murano Glass piece displays. By the look of the pontil, its expertly ground and even shape, I would almost certainly give this the mark of being a Murano piece

Thank you so much for the advice on this lovely vase! I am very pleased to learn that is very lightly to be a Murano. Also you have given lots of good information when looking to buy what should be a genuine Murano. Thanks again for your time and input much appreciated!!;-)
