Absolutley! these plus the little ones and some shooters where in a coca cola tin and they all seem to be in really nice shape no cracks or scratches these big ones where wrapped in a paper towel and the big ones like you said have the bottom part where you can see the blow tube thingy. Have you found your simular marble to compare with to see if these are all related? wish somebody knew who made these but then I wish I knew more about marbles period.

It may be near impossible to name exact artist as there were many and still are . It is a talent that continues today . They are not used for playing with but as collectors marbles . Could not look for mine in process of some house remodeling but will get it as soon as I can catch my husband when he is not tired from remodeling .

Yeah I hear you loud and clear, I called up a few places today. I live in Washington state and there is a town called Snohomish and its a historic logging town has nothing but Antique shops and one of them is a glass shop run by a elderly lady whos been collecting glassware, spheres and marbles for 50+ years, Im going to drop by her shop this Saturday and have her take a look at my collection and these collector marbles also have to remind myself to bring pen and paper, I will keep you informed and let you know what she comes up with

    Hello everybody,
Well the mystery is solved!! the Artist that does these marbles Ive been showing is a man named Charles Gibson he is a Master Glass Blower back east in Virginia and is known for his Carnival glass and this pattern of marble he calls his snakeskin pattern he has a copyright on this pattern and from what I was told is the only one that does this pattern, he worked for Blenko glass and Bischoff glass then he opened his own shop in 1983 and closed it in 2006. His work is in the National Marble Museum. The lady I visited in Snohomish has 8 of his snakeskin marbles he does'nt sign his work on the 1 1/2 or 1 3/4" marbles just the larger ones. Well there it is that lady knows alot of glass blowers including our own Chichully (spelled name wrong) glass artist here in the Pacific NW. This is turning out to be a interesting hobby.

Thankyou Manikin! next thing to do is to go have Lindas Son at the glass antique store look at the marbles that are in the wooden crate thing I have. I thought you might find that interesting. When you get your construction project done, show and tell some of your spheres, I think these little things are beautiful
