Here is the second part of the "Restoration Series" on this, our 1959 British Daimler Ferret Scout Car. The military vehicles are the "centre" of our family Military Collection. This is the Mk2/3 variant. Here is the link to my first Collectors Weekly post for this "series":

Photo .1 I'm removing some of the old water damaged equipment canvas bags that are strapped to the outside of the Ferret. There is good provision all over the armoured vehicle with sturdy metal loops and hooks to strap on extra kit! There is even a collapsible canvas bucket!

Photo .2 Is the Rolls Royce B60 Engine, fortunately ours has only run for a relatively short time, the odometer reads 3500 Km. The engine is in fine "fettle" and really just needs an oil change and full service and a general scrub up and clean, which it will get.

Photo .3 Is the inside of the Driver/gunner compartment, a lot of ancillary equipment is rusted, damaged or just plain missing! Every component and piece of equipment is going to be stripped out and fully refurbished to; as new, in our machine shop. A long, long job ahead!
