I just received these items back from appraisal. Unfortunately, it was insurance appraisal only. I was hoping for some history or at least as close to an age of the items as they could come. Ah well, maybe someone here can give me some more information.
Ring: 14kt heart shaped solitaire with 2.1mm shank with a bright polish finish. Trademark Birks. 4.96ct type II, medium, moderately strong purple colour.
Necklace: Acid test 14kt 18" necklace with concealed clasp 51.4ct total.
This set was inhereted from my great aunt. It might possibly come from Sweden or Norway.

I belive the set came from Canada. Birks is like the Tiffany's of Canada...I have a few pieces from them...very high end...congrats!
