These bookends have old felt on the bottom. I'd prefer not to remove it to look for a maker's mark. Can anyone tell me the the name of the manufacturer, year they were made and approximate value? Thanks.

The style of eagle is very old(probably pre-1840's) but that certainly doesn't mean they are that old.
