    Hello,
This dish is approximately 6 inches in diameter. I picked it up about a year ago because I was intrigued by the design and the initials, 'S G M' around a star. It has a deeply cast design and is quite heavy for it's size.
It may have been the Acorns which first captured my attention.
What do you suppose the initials mean? An organization of some kind I'd guess, but I don't know what organization it could be.
p.s., the beautiful girl with the giant mustache is my Marti

I live on Cape Cod, and Sandwich Glass was made not far from where I live,
do you suppose this could be an old Sandwich Glass plate,.....the initials 'SG' may stand for Sandwich Glass,....the 'M'?,....Museum, possibly?

      Thanks Tony and Sean!
I found a piece with a similar pattern on ebay, a 'Mount Washington' piece with a Sandwich design. There were some differences, but it is unmistakably Sandwich in design.
It's always a thrill when you learn something about a piece you've had kicking around.

this is a reproduction for the Sandwich Glass Museum of the Leaf & Scroll cup plate by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Here is a like to the SGN page:

sorry, my bad. I was thrown off by the scrolls. Yours is actually a reproduction of the Acorn plate or Lacy Flint Acorn Scrolls with maker is unknown. Here is a link for ref. of the original:
