the other day i came across a baggy full antique mini shears and heres another interesting pair that ive pulled of the bag :) these are very unique as well , i dont what it says under the man and the women as picture on both sides , and is that gold for the inlay on the shears as well?

hello AR8Jason thankyou very much for responding , yes there is some writing under the woman and man , i have used a mag glass , but i need to use a professional one to really see what it says . and its gold gilt , thankyou very much:) i really dont collect scissors. but when i found the bag of these at the thrift store at $4.99 for the whole bag i bought them . these are great. this pair looks like from the quaker era?

AR8Jason: I also collect scissors . Just like older sewing machines the old scissors were made to last . They do not fall apart like some of the newer ones and you can sharpen them yourself if you know how . I love my old scissors and I guard them from my family who would take them outside and leave them there . I gave my husband one pair of old scissors he could use outside . I put his name on them and told him to take care of them and not to loose them because he was not going to get any of my good ones . So far that has worked .
BELLIN68 : I love your scissors although I know nothing about them . I just keep a collection of old scissors on hand . I have never come across any like yours . Good find !
