I've been looking for one of these for years. I wanted the complete set so that's probably what took me so long to find it. Since this is a big part of what I do for a living, I had to have the Shure Unidyne 55! I will hopefully find a nice older amp to test this baby out on some day or just take it to the studio with me tomorrow. To get the cord and stand makes it a special piece to me. Actually designed after the grill on a 1939 Cadillac. This one was built in 1962, the W in the sw, signified the mic having the switch on the front.

Well I took this mic with me today to my good friend's studio/publishing office. I had a few backgrounds to do for him anyway. Plugged the mic into an amp he had and WHAMO, worked like new! The plan now is to find an older amp to combine this mic with.
Sweet deal that it works!! I love it when the oldies are still goodies.
Yep, now I buyin an amp from a buddy here, next Monday and rock will be gave! LOL
