I have the whole set now, I stated in the other post that there was two different runs of these . The first run showed "Gene" a little heavier and He didn't approve of the picture, so Wilane Trading Co. remodeled his features to make him appear thinner. Well here we have the "Fat" Gene model.
These were made in 1948 by the Wilane Trading Co, Swiss Movement. This one has some color change and paper wear, but still is one of a handful that even made it out of the factory. Note it still has the original Gene Aurty signed band and the back is stamped "Always Your Pal Gene Aurty" I'm VERY happy with this piece and Hope this little tid-bit of info on the "Fat" model has sparked your interest. Thanks for looking. Best Regards, Kerry
