As always I am looking for any related history, information, or knowledge of this piece. It was purchased a few years ago for less than a dollar. I knew Craftsman made knives, but I did not know they made knives for cooking.

Please feel free to comment, it is greatly appreciated.

Craftsman is a licensed name owned by Sears. It can be licensed to an array of different manufacturers products sold through Sears Stores (and now also Kmart, since they actually own Sears), and I believe recently Ace Hardware Stores has also gained use of the Craftsman brand. (For a reference, I worked for a footwear importer that had workboots made in factories in China and the Sears licensed brand name was "Craftsman" yet the same exact boots were sold through another company that owned the licensed name "Caterpillar".
So, if you had the original packaging the kitchen knife came in, it would have stated the factory name and country of origin (where made) of the knife set.

Thanks everyone, I am a Craftsman fan as well. I still buy their stuff. I am wondering, is there a large market for collecting Craftsman antiques/early Craftsman tools these days? I loved the article mikkochristmas11.
