This is a 1955 full page color magazine advertisement for Rheingold Extra Dry Lager Beer brewed by Liebmann Breweries, Inc., New York.
--- Rheingold Beer was introduced in 1883. The company was sold by the founding Liebmann family in 1963. Rheingold shut down operations in 1976, when they were unable to compete with the large national breweries. The Orange, NJ brewery was the last facility to close.
The label was revived in 1998 by Terry Liebmann and partner Mike Mitaro when Mitaro's Rheingold Brewing Company LLC bought the brand in along with partner Terry Liebmann, a relative of Rheingold's founding family. In 2005, Drinks Americas of Wilton, Ct., whose iconic brands include Trump Vodka and Dr. Dre Cognac, purchased Rheingold Brewing. Drinks Americas has reformulated the Rheingold product and began selling Rheingold Beer in August 2010.

Quite a remarkable ensemble for a carousel and a beer. Thanks again for the WONDERFUL description of the contents of the Kelvinator refrigerator's bouty. It was super, Tony!
Each Rheingold ad is different - Miss Rheingold's clothes are all provided by Saks Fifth Avenue, New York.
thankyou mustangtony for the awesome account :) these are very beautiful:) thanks for showing these beautiful technicolored ads:)
Interesting the company had a 22 year off-period. The relaunched company again started out the Miss Rheingold contest but the ladies are no where near as classy as they used to be.
Very interesting, Tony! I never cared for beer, so I am unfamiliar with many beer companies. I had never heard of Reingold Beer before I saw your wonderful ad series. I love the model's attire and the elaborate scenes of 'the good life' that serve as the backdrop for these ads. Saks Fifth Avenue! That was so exclusive back then. Hate to think of what the price tag on these beers must have been. Thanks again for a great series!
