Hello vetraio50 and thankyou for the love :)
just is your thoughts or take on this ? im just kind of wondering...............
Not sure. I've had a look around the Italian sites and there is no mention of them earlier than contemporary. There is a Galbiati Milano that seems to be a distribution company. In Australia we call these outlets "Bomboniere" shops for an Italian migrant clientele buying wedding presents acceptable to the "Italian" market. "Bella figura" demands that you buy something Italian.

And then there is the mark on pieces of furniture and metalware:
"felice galbiati arte decorativa"
Different mob.
I'm a bit dubious about one of the opera plates on worthpoint.
Dunno.
i did look on some auction website and they say that fornasetti did some things for Galbiati milano in the past. what tells me that piero did this for Gilbiati is the symbol of the sun on the bottom of this item.
thankyou collector4evr:)
ITS STILL VERY BEAUTIFUL ANY WAYS:)
hello vetraio50 , i just saw those oprea plates that you mentioned , those are fakes.
they put that over augsburg makers mark.
imlaughing so hard right now it must be the full moon:)
the odd thing is vetraio50 , have you even heard of this brand before?
i have on and seen on ebay in passing . and auction houses but they dont show the markers mark why?
The galbiati name was part of an area of his production of furniture items. He used Ginoru mainly for ceramics as we heard on that other post. The answer to the question about why is greed I suppose. Caveat emptor.
thanks for the info, i will email the pictures to Fornasetti.com and see if they know what this is.
thankyou very much vetrio50 , i still love this very much and its was and is a great find:)
