J B Hirsch created a pirate set of figures on alabaster, three of which are pictured, there were three more figures produced, a lady pirate sitting on an alabaster chest like the figure on the far right in the second picture. One with the figure on the clock on a bowl, and another of the lady pirate sitting on a round piece of alabaster on a base. The lady pirate and the male pirate were also featured on box chests. The pirate on the lamp, and on the garniture are the same size.
The set is dated by the clock which Whitehall Hammond created in 1933. Whitehall designed the clock cases, and Hammond the movements.
I recently aquired the lamp from a eBay vendor in Puerto Rico whoever owned it first painted it black with spray paint and tinted the ivorine on the face orange (see fourth picture that is how it looked before). The first thing I did was to get the figure back to what it originally looked liked the results are shown in the pictures above.
I love the set and will keep it.
