This is a 1950 magazine advertisement for Monnet Cognac in their 100th Anniversary Gift Boxes - Import division, National Distillers Products Corporation, New York.
-- Founded by an association of local vineyard owners in 1838, the company took its name from Jean-Gabriel Monnet in 1897, who also gave the Salamander as emblem to the company. After Jean-Gabriel, the company was led by his son, Jean Monnet, who later became the father of the European Union.
