Its a bit tedious seeing all the ebay listings of "original" 1780 Maria Theresa Thalers. Most of those listings are usually of corroded post 1853 restrikes. Currently there are only three known examples of Maria Theresa Thalers that were actually struck in 1780 at the Guenzburg mint. Here is one of the three. Any one thinking you have an original take a close look at the third photograph. If the tail feather formation on your coin doesn't match the photograph stop dreaming! Also note the spelling of AUST DUX modern (post 1797) Burgau MTT have AVST DUX ( the difference is the "V"). Value: this one sold for €1550.00, the second one seen this year sold for €1200.00 the third is currently listed in a German Auction with an estimate of €1500.
