I have had this since the early 1970's, a neighbor of my mother who was a Union Executive in late 80's was downsizing to move, and gave it to me. He had a beautiful home. I have no idea about history, It has a glass top, but looks hand carved and when you lift off the glass underneath it looks hand made. Maybe it is not valuable as an antique, but it is ok with me. If anyone understands this type of furniture, please let me know. thanks toracat
