Unusual advertising piece for coke, inherited from ex wife's grandfather. Date? Approx. value? Why a swastika? Is it a watch fob?

Swastika was & still is in many countries. Not so much in Germany anymore.

Yes, this is a watch fob. From the 1920s. The "Swastika" was a good luck symbol and didn't have Nazi connotations until the 1930s. Book-value is $200. I believe these were reproduced though but since you say it belonged to your ex grandfather, my guess would be this is the real deal.

earlycoke will probably chime in soon, as he's the "early coke" expert.

AR8Jason is way up on the old watch fobs as well. Based on his previous comments linked below, I think too It's The Real Thing. Also, the Nazi symbol was a tilted version, whereas the good luck symbol is not.
