Another Pennwood model 422 numechron that I just recently aquired. It was manufactured sometime between 1933-36 because of the numerals and the lack of a second wheel. Pennwood added the second wheel and stopped using these numerals early in 1936 and went with a more solid numeral like Lawson's. My previously posted Pennwood Model 422 had a plain escutcheon, this one has a rather onate one that instead of opening to the side, it opens from the bottom to top, see second picture. Now I am perplexed about the escutcheons on both, which one is right, or did Pennwood manufacture the same clock with different escutcheons?

I have also seen this model 422 with the second wheel, different font on the numbers and a different escutcheon than both of these.

The case was made by Adler Royal and is pristine condition with just a few dings. It measures 4.75" in height, 4" in depth, and 8.5" long.

The movement is quiet, no growls, and keeps excellent time.
