Another craigslist find.. $30 from a barn clean-out. It was several inches bigger than what the seller told us (over 3' x 4'). According to her measurements, it would fit in the trunk of my car. Couple inches off made for an interesting ride home...
It was fairly simple to restore - quick strip, acetone with a toothbrush to get in to the crevasses and a refinish. The mirror was the biggest expense, but finishes it off nicely. It's a 3/16" thick mirror with a 1 1/4" bevel. It was exactly what we needed to fill in that large wall in the dining room.
