Greatsnowy…

I have been lusting after one of these for years now. I never thought I'd get one.. but now I have and it's mine all mine. it's of the same type of glass as the intaglio pieces are usually made from. the bird is built up in strong relief with a gilded pond scene below. this is a really large heavy piece. really really happy to add this to my collection.

Love the detail work. Magnificent.
thanks! :) I am pretty floored away by the detail on this thing too. I was also pleased with how intact the gilding is.
stunning:)
Beautiful piece of Moser!
I didn't realize it was oval shaped, smart, more area to decorate.
yup. it's 11 or 12 inches tall and about 4 or 5 wide and like two inches across. What I really wish they had on this piece though would be like a little fish, frog or insect or something that it was going after. it's clearly diving in for the kill.
Brian, do you think this is a harrach blank or after 1895? it's not marked?
I would date these around 1890-1900, so good possibility it's a Harrach blank.
This is a wonderful piece - the bird image is exquisite, the detailed image shows the craftsmanship...congrats!
It is absolutely beautiful, as is the other glass on display with it! What an artistic wonder!!
