I believe it was for making whipped cream before they came up with Cool whip

This is a old hand crank Dazey Butter Churn. Your's looks to be a No#3. Look on the handle or top for a No. Maybe late 30s, or 40s. I have one but I don't have the jar. they are hard to find. As of price Hmmm, 50 to 80 maybe! Hope this helps....

Nice churn! They came in different sizes and sometimes different color lids. I'd love to have one like a salesman's sample.

      Well the No#s match. The H is for handle#, & the B is the base#.....Model No#20..... IMO

We have one similar, my husband grew up on a dairy farm and we have photos of him as a toddler, cranking the butter churn. Ours is made without the necessity of a screen and the paddles are darker, yours look to be new, replacements. Saw one on ebay a couple of years ago for around $80.00.

Yes that is a Daisy Butter Churn . I have one that belonged to my grandparents . I think ours may be a bit larger than this one . Ours also has a daisy imbossed on the bottom of the jar . The paddles on this one look to me to be replacements as well . I have seen ones like mine in antique stores with a high price tag on them well over $100.00 , some as high as $300.00 . If this is a small Daisy churn it is worth more than mine as they are harder to come by .
