I picked this up the other day at a thrift store. I am not sure if this is the 1957 original or not. Was there ever a reproduction run of this tray? If so, how can I tell the original from the reproduction?

You have the 1957 Canadian serving tray which was called "Birdhouse Tray" The tray was released in both English and French-Canadian version. I haven't heard that this tray was ever a reproduction.
repros will usually have something stamped or printed on the back.
Vikingfan, this is a stupid question but, is that your name because your a minnesota vikings fan?
I have one of these trays as well, are they valuable? I also have two that have a wheel cart with wicker baskets filled with flowers and picnic foods and coke of course.
PSP42, the birdhouse tray has a value of $165.00. The other two you have sound like the 1961 TV Trays. there value is only $18.00 ea.
