On the table is my complete collection of the Dolls of All Lands Blue Bonnet Margarine promotion back in the mid '60's. On the floor, is the Storybook and American Heritage Blue Bonnet dolls that I'm still working on completing. The first dolls I got here were from a local thrift store. Ever since, I've been obsessed with getting all of them. I search Ebay everyday and that's where I've been able to find them. I've searched Craiglist too, but so far, no luck there.

This brings back wonderful memories! One of my Aunts and her husband consumed countless TV dinners in the mid-sixties so that I could have these dolls. Probably Swanson TV dinners. For each doll, one had to collect so many box tops or points or something, and mail it off with some money, and in a few weeks one would get a doll through the mail. I especially loved the Scottish lass. I had all of them but two by the time the promotion ended. I kept them until I was about 40. Many hours of play, but even better, these were invaluable tokens of my Aunt's affection and dedication. Did you collect these as a girl?
No, I just posted my first collection which was the ARCO Dolls of the World that my father would get for me when he filled up his tank with gas, just .99 cents per doll! Well, one day I was at a thrift store and the owner had 20 dolls in boxes and most of them where from the Blue Bonnet Margarine promotion, which I found out later. Well, needless to say, I bought all 20 and I've been hooked ever since on trying to complete the collection. I managed to get all of the Dolls of the Lands , but I'm still working on getting all the Storybook & American Heritage dolls that Blue Bonnet also promoted. So, wish me luck, hopefully I have them all someday! Oh, just a note: Reddi-Wip also promoted the same type of doll, they only difference is that there shoes were painted on, my doll's shoe come off! And, I have a correction, on the table is the Dolls of the Lands, not American Heritage, those are on the floor with the Storybook dolls, sorry!
Hi, beckame! Thanks so much for sharing that information. So, your Dad procured some of these dolls at the gas station! That is a wonderful memory! I never knew about the gasoline and margarine promotions. What fun. May I ask, the dolls on the table, are they officially called Dolls of the World? That sounds right, but to tell you the truth, I can't remember the precise title of the series. I also note that you have two of the Spanish senoritas - one on table and one on floor. Such good condition, too. My dolls did not age well. I took excellent care of them, and their fragile coiffures, eyes, and bodies were in excellent condition; however, their attire faded quite a bit. Your dolls shows very little fading in the costumes. Wonderful! Oh, and about the shoes - I never knew that some similar dolls had painted shoes. Really enjoyed this! Thanks! : D
Not these dolls, he bought me the ARCO dolls at the gas station, of all places! And no, what I've found out is that they are called Dolls of the Lands. As far as the two Spanish dolls, one is Spain from Blue Bonnet Dolls of the Lands and the one on the floor is Blue Bonnet American Heritage called Early California. I know there's not much difference, but I wanted to have them both from the two collections. I never knew about the shoes either, but I've learned a lot from trying to acquire these dolls. I got really lucky with this collection as the person that sold them to me must have kept them well protected and some of them I got were still in there boxes, but I have to admit, my ARCO collection is like yours too, faded more than these. But, they are still so pretty, I just hope I can complete the collection someday! Thank you for the comments and question!
I think i have one of these dolls, but im not sure. I picked one up at a thrift store today, it says dolls of coutnries or something like that and onfront says scotland. the box is blue with white snowflake looking things on it..anyone want it?
I've never seen any of the ones I have in the box you describe; as far as I've seen they only came in plain cardboard boxes or thin cardboard-like boxes. How tall is it? The ones I have are approx. 7 1/2" tall and all of them have shoes that can be removed. One way to find out if it is from the same collection as mine is to check on Ebay, Sometimes you can find similar doll. I myself don't want it as I already have the Scotland dolls. But someone else might!

I found another doll for my Blue Bonnet Storybook collection on Ebay, but I need help. Can anyone tell me ANOTHER place I can look to try to find these dolls? I have found a site called Neely's Antiques, but they were kind of expensive there. Thanks for any input!
etsy.com has some. Good luck on your search I know you want to finish your collection . Check with them daily on new ones and type in different searches also :-)
