My wife and I found this trunk at a garage sale. We can not find any information about the manufacturer W.C. Tackaberry Co.

It does say that the company is out of Cleveland Ohio.

We would love to know the age of the trunk and what it may have been used for.

It is always a better conversation piece when you know more of the story.

Any help about the trunk or company would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    J & J

Looks like a trunk made around 1920 that would have been used for general storage. The outside is made with vulcanized paper. Sturdy utilitarian piece. Great that you have the label -- most do not. Manufacturers came and went around this time as trunks started to wane in popularity. Hope this helps a little.
