Aurora made great toys when I was a kid. I won $25 in a halloween contest at a shopping center were I spent it all on Cigar Box cars. After loosing or breaking them, I dearly wished like most of us that I had kept them. Hot Wheels and Matchbox caras were more durable. One by one, I bought each car...The Charger and VW and Torino are the most expensive. The holy grail is the good humor ice cream truck of which I haven't found as of yet.

Cool!
Well, this is a new one on me. I don't remember ever seeing these Cigarbox toys, at least I know I don't have any in the box.
I have the Cougar and Mustang, you can see them on my page
I'm new here to CW. I am a collector of Aurora Cigar Box Cars. Like you, I had a collection of them when they first came on the market. Gave them to a nephew who destroyed them. Two years ago I started to collect them again. I have 300 of them now, including the Good Humor Truck. I am trying to find out the complete list of the 75 cars that were made in 1968. Trying to contact Aurora Plastic Corporation (which is now under new owners) to find the history of these cars. If you or anyone can help me in this search, please contact me. Thank you.
