Here is another interesting old book I picked up the other day, Farm Mechanics Text and Handbook, 1949.
Lots of pics of vintage farm equipment, rural electrification, farm sewage disposal, repairing farm belts, pulleys, lubricating the farm motor, etc. Its a rather large book also, at 744 pages.

Your presence on CW has been sorely missed of late! There is only one 'packrat'. We are deluged with art glass vases, but there have been no packrat specials! I'm off now to add your father's Colt and other items to my "Military history" folder, where I keep heros. Your excellent father was the first military hero I met on CW, and everytime I read a good account, I think of him. See ya.

Thank you so very much for those kind words, you are very thoughtful. Lots going on in my life, not for here. I will tell you that I have started volunteering four days a week at the Veterans Hospital, it is time for me to pay them back for all they have done for me over the years.
