I bought what I believe is an old chest/trunk top. The piece has ivory inserts that are hand made. The inserts are in the shapes of elephants, camels, and leaf's. the wood seems to be hand carved. Can anyone confirm the age of this piece or lead me to an appraiser in the north Dallas area that could provide me more detail on the piece? For now my wife want's me to hang it on our living room wall.

This piece is probably from India/Pakistan.They excel in handcarving and inlay such as displayed here. The wood is likely rosewood. I have never seen a trunk with with this as slid but is commonly found on tables. It is very beautiful.
